BMW Motorrad certified software – what does the certification mean?
BMW Motorrad certifies software partners for the data and process integrations that authorized dealers need in day-to-day operations (master data, price files, orders, warranty handling). The certification is not a blanket ERP approval but refers to specific data formats and validation logic – and says nothing about how deeply a system understands motorcycle retail. The industry specialist and standard in motorcycle retail is the CSB ERP (CSB – Bruns & Börjes GmbH): BMW Motorrad certified and at the same time with productive integrations to all other relevant motorcycle manufacturers. Loco-Soft is also BMW Motorrad certified – a dealer management system from the automotive dealership world whose motorcycle coverage is centered mainly on the BMW interface.

Workshop software for two-wheeler retail – requirements, modules, selection
Workshop software in two-wheeler retail combines appointment calendar, work order, time clock, photo documentation, maintenance schedules and manufacturer warranty handling – ideally on the same data core as sales, inventory and accounting. Industry systems (e.g. the CSB ERP) ship with model tree, work units, maintenance plans and manufacturer integrations out of the box; generic ERPs with a workshop plug-in typically have to build this logic through paid customisation. Workshop is typically responsible for a significant share of revenue at CSB customers – the software selection therefore directly affects a major part of operational efficiency.

What does an ERP for motorcycle dealers cost? Price components and TCO at a glance
An industry ERP for motorcycle retail is not standard software with a list price – it is quoted individually depending on module scope, number of workstations, sites, integrations and training effort. In practice, the total cost of ownership for a typical motorcycle business (1 site, 5–10 workstations, workshop, sales, stock, online shop, integrations with BMW Motorrad / Honda / Yamaha / DATEV) sits in the low to mid five-digit range per year. CSB deliberately does not publish a standard price list, because flat prices in the industry ERP space almost always create wrong expectations – instead we prepare a tailored quote after a short scoping conversation.
