Company

Serving two-wheeler retail since 1993.

Born from real-world dealer practice, evolved with dealers. Today CSB is the industry standard across the German-speaking region.

In 1989, Dieter Börjes had software built for his own motorcycle dealership because nothing on the market really understood motorcycle, apparel and workshop retail. That hands-on origin is what shaped CSB: software that knows the dealer's day.

Today, more than 30 years later, CSB is in production at over 900 dealers across the DACH region. The team is small and specialised: 16 people, most of them in development and support – people who know the software, know the industry, and in most cases pick up the phone themselves when a dealer calls.

What hasn't changed in over 30 years: our genuine interest in what keeps dealers busy every day. Working alongside two-wheeler businesses for decades means knowing the nuances – the season that started differently than planned, the warranty case that involves three manufacturers at once, the regular customer who comes back after the first service. That is exactly what CSB is built for.

About CSB

More than 30 years

CSB office in Augustfehn, Germany
  1. 1989

    A tailor-made ERP takes shape

The CSB story begins: Looking for software tailored to a motorcycle apparel store, Dieter Börjes has Hartmut Bruns develop a dedicated inventory system.

  2. 1990

    IFMA debut

At the IFMA trade fair (today’s Intermot), the two present the solution to a wider audience for the first time.

  3. Late 1990s

    Importer interfaces

With 300+ installations, CSB is among the most widely used systems in Germany. Importer interfaces are integrated, enabling direct ordering from the system.

  4. Early 2000s

    CRM and more interfaces

A CRM module strengthens customer retention; further interfaces follow for online exchanges, accounting packages, and more.

  5. Mid 2000s

    Online shop development

Retailers’ needs grow as online trade expands. CSB develops its own shop solution, wired directly to the ERP so availability online stays up to date.

  6. 2010

    eCommerce interfaces

As eCommerce gains importance, interfaces for eBay and Amazon join CSB’s offering.

  7. 2010s

    Manufacturer-specific interfaces

More manufacturer-specific interfaces streamline operations; existing links to suppliers, shops, marketplaces, carriers, accounting, and exchanges are continuously expanded.

  8. 2020

CSB app & new online shop

Two major additions arrive: the CSB app and the new CSB online shop – with the same continuous improvement CSB is known for.

What matters to us

Deep industry understanding

We know the workshop, the seasonality, the manufacturer requirements. You don't have to explain what a workshop intake is.

Partnership, not supplier relationship

Our customers often stay for decades. That only works if both sides care about the other's success.

Our own software, no re-branding

We build what we sell – in Augustfehn, with our own team, without outsourcing core logic.

Direct communication

Ticket, help center or phone: there is always a real person behind it who knows the company and the industry. No anonymous helpdesk, no passing the buck.
